Administrative Assistant On Site In Winchester, VA Industry: Construction / Manufacturing Location (City, State): Winchester, VA 100% onsite Assignment Type: Contract interim coverage Initial 4-week assignment with potential to extend Pay: $19 $20 / hour Work Schedule: MondayFriday | 7:00 AM 4:00 PM 40 hours per week | Overtime eligible Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). About Our Client: Addison Group is hiring an Administrative Assistant on behalf of our client, a growing organization within the construction/manufacturing space. The company is experiencing continued expansion following a recent acquisition and is seeking temporary administrative support during an unexpected leave within their operations team. Job Description: This contract opportunity supports daily office operations during an interim period. The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in keeping the office running smoothly by managing front-office responsibilities, assisting employees, and handling a variety of administrative tasks in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the first point of contact by answering phones, directing calls, and welcoming visitors Provide general administrative support including filing, data entry, and document organization Assist with scheduling meetings, appointments, and internal coordination Support office operations by monitoring supplies, inventory, and equipment needs Maintain organized employee and operational records Assist with workers' compensation documentation and claim tracking Collaborate with internal teams to ensure day-to-day operations run efficiently Take on additional administrative duties as needed to support the operations team Qualifications: Previous experience in an administrative, office support, or receptionist role Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills Comfortable working independently as well as within a team environment High attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office technology Exposure to construction or manufacturing environments is a plus Experience with HRIS, payroll systems, or administrative HR support is helpful Additional Details: Contract role supporting a team member on an unexpected medical leave Initial assignment length is approximately 4 weeks, with potential for extension Start date targeted for mid-February Interviews will be conducted virtually with the client's operations leadership Perks: Immediate opportunity to support a growing organization Fast interview process Hands-on role with variety and responsibility Exposure to operations within a construction/manufacturing environment Opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic, team-focused workplace Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
