Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 23, 2026 – June 22, 2026) Role: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) / Obstetric Nurse / Perinatal Nurse (Travel Nurse) Shift: Night shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (18:45 – 07:15) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800-$1900 Unit: Labor & Delivery (15 beds) — maternal and newborn care, high-risk OB Scrubs: Provided Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required Job Requirements Active RN license in Oklahoma or compact state (required at time of submission) — Registered Nurse licensure for travel nursing positions Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience as an obstetric/ perinatal nurse Previous travel nursing experience preferred Current BLS and NRP certifications required Intermediate fetal monitoring skills and experience with electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) Ability to float to similar units (Mother-Baby / Postpartum) as needed Must be able to work every other weekend Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns as a Labor & Delivery RN / obstetric nurse Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs using EFM and internal monitoring Assist with high-risk deliveries, including VBAC, C-sections, and multiple births Administer medications and manage IV therapies, including magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, antihypertensives, and Pitocin Support breastfeeding and lactation; provide postpartum and newborn care Perform sterile vaginal exams (SVE), triage obstetrical patients, and respond to obstetric emergencies Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services, and IV teams Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record (EMR) Maintain a safe, patient-centered, and family-focused environment Experience the welcoming atmosphere of Tulsa, OK — a vibrant city with parks, arts, and a friendly community.
