MACHINE PARTS INSPECTOR I | Indianapolis, Indiana, United States MACHINE PARTS INSPECTOR I This position is a Machine Parts Inspector I Onsite in Indianapolis, IN Mandatory pay rate - $33.55 for 1st shift and $35.90/hr for 2nd shift. 2 positions - 1 for 1st shift, 1 for 2nd shift Required experience with measuring "True Position" manually Mechanical inspection of parts including first article, in-process, and final. Verification of materials and processes and verification of certifications from sub-tier vendors. Completion of all applicable paperwork (working to AS9100 standards). Performance of various other quality tasks as required to ensure the timely delivery of precision machined parts to the customer. Cleanliness of the work area and proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock to prevent damage or loss. Skills and Qualifications: A minimum of 6 years mechanical inspection and/or machining experience. Ability to perform complex set-ups for part inspection. Must be proficient with complicated blueprints and advanced job shop mathematical calculations. Familiar with all facets of inspection techniques, including manual CMM operation, a wide range of inspection and measuring tools, and surface plate set-ups. Must be able to follow written instructions and to work with little to no supervision. Required education: High School Diploma or GED
