Job Title: Finance Consultant -ERP Location: Brentwood, TN Type: Contract Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented ERP Consultant specializing in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Cash Management. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or MBA finance w with hands-on experience migrating complex AR and Cash Management functions from legacy ERP systems such as GEAC, Lawson, or other older financial platforms into modern ERP applications (Oracle, SAP, MS Dynamics 365, Workday, Infor, etc.). This role requires a blend of financial acumen, technical proficiency, and strong project execution capabilities to ensure a seamless, controlled, and compliant transition to a modern ERP landscape. Key Responsibilities 1. ERP System Implementation & Migration Lead the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of AR and Cash Management modules. Own the end-to-end data migration effort (master data, open transactions, historical AR, unapplied cash, bank statements, and reconciliation data). Define and execute cut-over strategies, including AR aging, open balances, unapplied credits, lockbox data, and historical cash ledger migration. Develop migration validation rules and reconciliations to ensure accuracy, completeness, auditability, and financial integrity. 2. Financial Process Assessment & Future-State Design Conduct comprehensive analysis of current-state AR and cash processes in legacy GEAC or equivalent systems. Identify gaps, risks, manual workarounds, and areas for optimization. Design best-practice future-state processes aligned with IFRS/GAAP and ERP capabilities. Ensure new processes support strong internal controls, standardized workflows, and improved financial close timelines. 3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, IT, PMO, and external implementation partners. Translate finance requirements into ERP functional designs and test scenarios. Lead UAT cycles, defect prioritization, and issue resolution. Build training materials, SOPs, job aids, and deliver structured training to end-users. Experience with complex financial and reconciliation issues. 4. Compliance, Controls, and Reporting Ensure configurations support compliance with SOX, IFRS/GAAP, internal audit controls, Treasury mandates, and corporate policies. Design and optimize core AR and Cash Management reports, including: AR Aging & DSO Cash flow forecasting Bank reconciliation reports Unapplied cash & exceptions Lockbox and remittance reports Ensure audit trails and reconciliations are built into workflows and migration steps. Required Qualifications CA or CPA or MBA finance or a Bachelors in accounting 7-12+ years of experience in Finance + ERP consulting Strong functional expertise in Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Treasury operations, and Financial Accounting Proven experience migrating from GEAC or equivalent legacy ERP systems Hands-on experience with at least one major modern ERP: Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Oracle Cloud Financials SAP S/4HANA Workday Financials Strong understanding of financial controls, audit requirements, IFRS/GAAP Experience with data migration tools, reconciliation methods, SQL/basic data analysis Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills Preferred Skills Experience with bank integrations, lockbox, MT940/BAI2 formats Exposure to Cash Application automation/AI tools Background in order-to-cash cycle transformation Familiarity with Power BI and other reporting tools
