Job Description: Job Title: Sr SDET Location: Seattle, WA & Vancouver, Canada - Hybrid - Onsite Duration: 12+ Months Contract. About this team: The QA Engineer/SDET will be part of the Data engineering team building test scripts for the batch as well as real-time data ingestions from multiple data sources into Snowflake. The ideal candidate will be designing and implementing tests for executing regression test suites. The SDET would also be responsible for continuously following the best practices identifying opportunities for optimizing the testing process and reduction of technical debt & manual steps to create efficiency. They should also work with cross-functional teams to perform end to end testing. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related. 6+ years of experience as SDET in data quality engineering space. Proficient in complex SQL scripting. Understanding and creating Stored Procedures. Working knowledge on Collibra Data Quality & Observability. Developing and maintaining data test automation frameworks in Data Warehouse (preferably Snowflake). Collaborating with BA, development, and testing teams to ensure functional and non-functional requirements are understood and met. Good to have experience in testing real-time data using SQL. Experience working with large volume data. Experience working with cloud-based systems - Azure & Snowflake data warehouses. Working knowledge of DevOps model. ETL conceptual knowledge is strongly desired. Analyzing the processes and results to identify areas for improvement and making recommendations to improve efficiency and quality. Good to have Retail experience. Nice to have Snowflake experience. Able to work as an individual contributor as well as a team player. A day in the life: Co-ordinate with cross-functional teams to get the functional & technical end-to-end testing done. Involve in test planning by preparing test strategy, test cases & build SQL queries. Test execution using the SQL queries. Identify and execute regression scenarios using automation scripts. Update the QA status in daily stand-ups Understand, leverage, and apply best practices effectively. Collaborate with cross-functional teams - business stakeholders, engineers, program management, project management, etc. - to produce the best testing solutions possible. Contribute to story sizing and work on estimates for test planning, execution, delivery, and documentation. Ensure quality test deliverables with thorough test coverage.
