You’ll be responsible for the full recruitment life cycle to include position review and posting, sourcing and advertising, and administering Geneseo’s Online Employment System.The Talent & Development Coordinator supports professional development efforts by managing the College’s compliance training program, promoting leadership and supervisor development workshops, performing training needs assessment, and assisting managers with creating employee development plans through the use of labor & development resources internal and external to the campus. They also collaborate on employee wellness programs including the Employee Assistance Program.The successful candidate must be able to provide caring customer support and engage with a diverse population of employees, be committed to excellence in customer service, confidentiality, and to facilitating prompt and equitable solutions to requests or concerns. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality when working with both internal and external customers. Tact, discretion, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality Ability to work and communicate effectively (verbal and written) with diverse groups of people, including the ability to address small and large groups. Must exhibit cultural competence. Strong time management, detail orientation, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment. Self-motivated and able to function in a high-volume, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment while balancing multiple responsibilities and serving diverse constituencies. System expert and administrator of Geneseo’s Online Employment System. Develop and communicate search procedures. Provide training to hiring managers and search committees on various topics, including Geneseo’s Online Employment system, interviewing process, etc. Provide systems ( OES ) expertise to the campus and coordinate problem-solving with PeopleAdmin vendor for the system. Partner with hiring supervisors and department heads to understand hiring needs and assist in all aspects of the process of filling faculty and staff positions, including hard-to-fill positions. Percentage Of Time 35%Job Duty/ ResponsibilityFunction 2: Coordinate the Annual Compliance Training Program Develop and refine the Compliance Training Program for employees and student employees using the NYS matrix of required training as a guide. Establish a system that ensures new employees receive the compliance suite of training program as part of their onboarding process. Develop and deploy the annual compliance training requirements. Manage Ethics training requirements through active presentation of monthly trainings, maintain NYS -wide dashboard, and tracking of incompletes/completes. Provide instruction, as appropriate, to the use of the HR Supervisor dashboard tool. Obtain feedback from users to modify and upgrade the tool as needed. Perform analysis across the college to identify skill gaps and skill growth needs and identify core competencies and certificate programs to help employees enhance skills and knowledge. Assist with coordination of the Leadership Journey Program including marketing, branding and program enhancements. Develop and launch tools to assist supervisors with career development paths for employees including learning plans.
