Creative Production Intern En Face Magazine & New YorkBased Dance Publishing ProjectsAre you passionate about dance, ballet, and the performing arts, and eager to gain hands-on experience in arts publishing? En Face Magazine is seeking Creative Production Interns across multiple tracks: Editorial, Design, Photography & Visual Research, Marketing & PR, Digital Publishing, and Operations.Location: Remote (U.S.-based preferred)Time Commitment: 1020 hours per weekDuration: 36 months (semester-based or seasonal)Start: Rolling, aligned with production schedulesReports To: Assigned Team Lead + Project ManagerAbout the ProgramEn Face Magazine supports ballet and dance organizations through high-quality print and digital publishing. Our internship program is built around real production work: interns are embedded in live teams and contribute to materials that ship. This is not an observational internship youll be a trusted collaborator, gaining hands-on experience in professional arts publishing. Each intern is paired with a primary internal lead and assigned a defined scope of work aligned with one of the tracks below.Internship Tracks & ResponsibilitiesEditorial InternAssist with producing print and digital content, from research to publication.Responsibilities:Conduct research on artists, companies, performances, and trendsDraft, format, and proofread editorial contentUpload and tag content in CMS platformsSupport newsletter and publication productionMaintain archives and organize editorial assetsAttend editorial meetings and assist on live projectsRequirement: Include 13 writing samples.Design InternSupport the visual production of print and digital publications.Responsibilities:Assist with layout, formatting, and preparation of contentConduct visual research and prepare asset librariesRetouch, resize, and format images for various platformsSupport branding and visual consistency across projectsCollaborate on special editorial or marketing design projectsRequirement: Include a digital portfolio showcasing design or visual work.Photography & Research InternAssist with image sourcing, permissions, and visual research.Responsibilities:Source and organize photography assetsConduct historical and archival researchTrack image credits and usage permissionsPrepare visual materials for publications and social campaignsMarketing & PR InternSupport campaigns promoting En Face Magazine and its content.Responsibilities:Draft social media posts and marketing copyAssist with email campaigns and audience researchEngage with influencers and partnersSupport event promotion and marketing initiativesDigital Publishing InternAssist with website updates, content management, and digital campaigns.Responsibilities:Upload and format content on websites and digital platformsSupport email and social campaignsTrack analytics and reportingHelp maintain digital asset organizationOperations InternSupport internal project workflows, organization, and documentation.Responsibilities:Update trackers and organize project filesAssist project managers with production timelinesCoordinate internal and external communicationsSupport cross-department production needsYoull LearnHow professional print and digital publications are produced from concept to releaseEditorial, design, marketing, and digital production workflowsBest practices for managing deadlines, communicating, and organizing assetsHow collaborative arts publishing teams operateWhy This MattersContribute to real publications read by audiences across the performing arts worldBuild portfolio-worthy work and resume experienceGain hands-on exposure to professional creative production environmentsLeave with tangible experience, not just observationIntern QualificationsCurrently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree programStrong interest in ballet, dance, and the performing artsExcellent organizational and communication skillsProficient in conducting online researchComfortable working remotely and independentlyFamiliarity with Google Workspace; Adobe Creative Suite or CMS experience is a plusInternship BenefitsHands-on experience with live print and digital publicationsExposure to professional arts publishing and production workflowsPortfolio and resume-building opportunitiesFlexible schedule and remote work arrangementsAcademic credit if applicableHow to ApplyPlease submit to :ResumeShort statement of interest (including preferred track(s))Portfolio or writing samples if applicableAvailability (start/end date, hours per week)Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
