Grocery Buyer

Grocery Buyer Location: Rainbow Acres Natural Foods, Venice, CA Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Reports To: Purchasing Manager Position Summary The Grocery Buyer is responsible for replenishment ordering and maintaining appropriate inventory levels of grocery items. This role supports the purchasing team by ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective procurement that aligns with the store's goals and values. Core Responsibilities Analyze inventory levels and replenish stock accordingly. Ensure timely approval and dispatch of purchase orders. Adjust existing purchase orders to reflect accurate product and pricing information. Process allocations and special orders as requested by management. Communicate effectively with internal teams, regional buyers, and vendors. Compile reports and assist buyers with data analysis as needed. Attend all required team and facility meetings. Contribute ideas that support team growth and a positive work environment. Participate in period and quarterly physical inventory counts. Key Qualifications Purchasing experience (natural food industry preferred). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written. Professional phone etiquette and strong customer service focus. Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure. Intermediate computer skills; knowledge of or ability to learn ECRS or related software. Ability to fluently read, write, and speak English. Demonstrated teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Interest in and passion for natural and organic foods.
