Automotive Detailer/Car Detailer

Position OverviewThe Automotive Detailer is responsible for cleaning, restoring, and maintaining the appearance of vehicles in the dealership inventory and customer-owned vehicles. This role ensures all vehicles meet dealership presentation standards before delivery or display. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and takes pride in producing high-quality work. Key Responsibilities Wash, wax, buff, and polish vehicle exteriors. Clean and shampoo vehicle interiors, including carpets, seats, dashboards, and windows. Vacuum and remove debris from vehicles. Apply protective finishes to exterior and interior surfaces. Clean engine compartments when required. Inspect vehicles for cosmetic damage and report findings to management. Remove stickers, decals, and residue from vehicles. Ensure new and used vehicles are lot-ready and showroom-ready. Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery. Maintain cleanliness and organization of detailing area and equipment. Safely operate cleaning tools such as buffers, steamers, pressure washers, and vacuums. Follow all safety procedures when handling chemicals and equipment. Move vehicles around the lot as needed. Snow removal when needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous auto detailing experience preferred but not required (training may be provided). Valid driver's license with clean driving record. Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles (preferred). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail. Skills & Competencies Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and detailing techniques. Time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong work ethic. Physical stamina and reliability. Commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to use hands and arms for repetitive motion tasks.
