Internal Medicine Physician

Coverage Needed Start Date: 03/16/2026 End Date: 09/19/2026 Schedule: Day shift - PRN, 1 day per week, 8 hours per day Clinical Details Provide professional medical services in a correctional facility Administer examinations, diagnose medical issues, prescribe medications, and provide treatment and follow-up care Participate in treatment team meetings and direct unit treatment operations Perform minor and occasional major surgeries Hold clinics for nursing specialists Maintain relationships with facility staff, nursing staff, contract providers, and outside agencies Utilize established policies and procedures, exercising independent judgment Monitor inpatient hospitalizations and facilitate early release when appropriate Prepare and maintain medical records and reports Support NCCHC/ACA/JCAHO accreditation efforts Accept on-call status Requirements Graduate from an accredited school of medicine Must be licensed to practice medicine in the state of employment Valid driver's license US Citizenship required for ICE clearance Board eligibility required for privileges English proficiency: Read, Write, Speak by Jobble
