Are you a skilled Advanced Practice Provider looking to make a meaningful impact in Cardiology? Join the prestigious Indiana University Health Medical Group Bloomington Hospital CardiologyProgram and be part of a team that is dedicated to excellence. Position Details: Full-time, Nights- Rotating- (will discuss during in person interview) 100% Inpatient Working with 13 Physicians and 6 APP's Ideal candidate will have experience caring for general cardiology patients as an APP or Nurse Patient Population- Acute care cardiology, Inpatient only Key Responsibilities: Performs new cardiology consults overnight and writes consult notes Implements treatment plan in consultation with on-call cardiologist and in collaboration with hospitalist team Manages critically ill cardiac patients in collaboration with intensivist team Monitors patient progress/status overnight and makes adjustments to the treatment plan as needed Communicates appropriately with all members of the patient care team, including providers and nursing staff In-hospital cross-cover call coverage Cardiology call service and monitor service call coverage Qualifications: Must hold either ACNP, AGNP, FNP or PA certifications BLS/ACLS certifications PA requires certification as a Physician Assistant in the State of Indiana NP requires certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Indiana MSN as a NP in the State of Indiana; and current RN license in State of Indiana Clinical expertise in management of acutely and critically ill cardiac patients REQUIRED Knowledge of the service standards and regulatory standards governing care delivery and operations Board Certification REQUIRED New Advanced Practice Registered Nurse graduates will have 3 months from the time of graduation to obtain board certification IU Health offers a value-based compensation package that includes: group insurance (health, dental, life, disability), 401k with company match, generous PTO, CME allowance/time off, relocation assistance, and malpractice insurance coverage. The facility offers a personalized approach to inpatient services (including intensive care, complex surgeries and comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services), outpatient services with leading-edge diagnostic testing, flexible space in the emergency department for post-care observation, a dedicated trauma center and a cancer infusion center. At the same time, the facility strengthens healthcare education by providing space for collaboration and coordination of care and teaching. Students and trainees frequently come to the hospital side of the facility for clinical experiences.
