18th February, 2026 Our client, a multidisciplinary design services firm based in Buffalo, NY, is seeking a Senior Transportation Project Manager to join their team! This position can sit in Buffalo, Rochester, or Syracuse. This is a full-time/direct hire/on-site position Salary for this role based on experience: $120k-155k Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Transportation Project Manager to lead highway and bridge design projects across a range of transportation and civil engineering initiatives, from concept through delivery. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with expertise in transportation engineering, civil infrastructure, and project management who thrives in a leadership role and enjoys managing complex projects. In this position, you'll oversee multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with clients and agencies, and deliver safe, efficient, and innovative infrastructure solutions. Whether you are a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or an EIT pursuing licensure, you'll have the opportunity to apply your experience while continuing to grow your technical and project management expertise. Responsibilities Successfully lead mid-to-large-scale transportation projects from initial setup through planning, safety analysis, and project kick-off. Manage project budgets, scope, schedule, and staffing to ensure successful and timely project delivery. Lead design strategy and collaborate with teams, clients, partners, and stakeholders to align with client goals and ensure seamless project delivery. Oversee project billing, client updates, QA/QC of deliverables, and project closeout. Provide clear direction, motivation, and mentorship to team members. Prepare winning project proposals and serve as the primary client contact throughout the process. Support new business development efforts in collaboration with the Client Services team by delivering exceptional service, promoting our client's capabilities, and building lasting client relationships. Successfully navigate and implement complex public processes and municipal approvals. Represent our clients in professional organizations, business boards, and community activities. Maintain knowledge of design software for effective team collaboration.
