Job Summary The Site Planning Designer will be responsible for creating preliminary layout designs and creating site-specific detailed Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical site preparation drawing sets for diagnostic imaging equipment (Angiography / Interventional Radiology, Radiography and Fluoroscopy, CT, MR, Molecular Imaging and Radiotherapy modalities, etc.) from sketches, existing drawings, electronic images, design concepts, and verbal instructions. Create preliminary layout designs and site-specific detailed Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical site preparation drawing sets for diagnostic imaging equipment (Angiography / Interventional Radiology, Radiography and Fluoroscopy, CT, MR, Molecular Imaging and Radiotherapy modalities, etc.) from sketches, existing drawings, electronic images, design concepts, and verbal instructions Use computer assisted design and drafting software to develop designs (AutoCAD) Provide consultation to UIH project managers to support design recommendations, safety and service clearance standards and installation requirements which are reflected in the customer site-specific plans. Work directly with HQ, different business functions and team members to delight customers throughout the design development and equipment installation processes Periodically inspect customer facilities to ensure appropriate layout design Requirements Proficient in AutoCAD 2020 or later, with expertise in creating detailed and accurate Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical site preparation drawing sets for diagnostic imaging equipment. Minimum 2 years Site Planning experience in diagnostic imaging equipment. Skilled in using various layer types in accordance with AIA standards, annotative text, National CAD Standards, and creating and modifying dynamic blocks and details to create system drawing templates. Adept at interpreting architectural drawings and site-specific floor plans, with a foundational understanding of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and environmental systems. Knowledgeable about building codes and regulations, including AHCA, OSHPD, NEC, and ADA, ensuring compliance. Creative and collaborative in solving technical problems, with strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting, discussing, and documenting technical information. Effective at engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, architects, manufacturers, engineers, and general contractors. Capable of performing well in high-pressure, time-sensitive, and deadline-driven environments. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Associate degree in architecture, engineering, or a technical degree from a recognized CAD training institution. Fluent in English with strong literacy and communication skills, and open to periodic travel. Experience with REVIT and SketchUp is a plus.
