Explore this opportunity with Psomas and apply today!About being our Construction InspectorAs our Construction Inspector, you will utilize your expertise to observe and document the construction of various roadway, highway and other transportation projects while adhering to safety practices, understanding client goals, establishing effective client relationships, and helping develop others on the team.Responsibility Highlights for our Construction Inspector Provide daily site inspections to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications and codesCoordinate activities with clients/owners, consultants, contractors, designers, and regulatory agencies and support labor compliance effortsPrepare daily reports including taking daily progress photosReview the contractor's schedule progressCoordinate with the contractor for planning and scheduling of required inspectionsReview and provide input on potential change order issues, track and record disputed work, and/or change order workAssist with monthly pay estimates, measure and record pay quantities Minimum Qualifications to be our Construction Inspector Minimum 10 years' experience in bridge construction, roadway construction, inspection of highways or related public works projectsHigh School diploma or equivalent educationPrior Caltrans ExperienceExperience inspecting public works for local agencies, municipalities, and utilitiesKnowledge of the construction process and the ability to read, understand and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specificationsAbility to work on-site in a construction trailer or building; ability to walk on uneven surfaces, stand, climb ladders, crawl, stoop, and enter confined spaces; tolerate heat, cold, dirt, odors, and other construction hazards may exist Highlighted Benefits for our Construction InspectorEnjoy an inclusive benefit package providing medical, dental, and vision coverage for employee and qualifying family members, a 401(k) with immediate vested company match and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan that is 100% paid by Psomas!
