Responsibilities Work in an acute care Interventional Radiology unit with 6 labs, pre-op, and phase 2 recovery Typical caseload includes 20-30 cases per day for patients with GI bleeds, strokes, biopsies, central lines, drains, and vascular procedures Shift schedule is 4 days per week with 9-hour shifts between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM Call required: 6-8 primary and secondary call shifts within 6 weeks, including some weekend and holiday coverage, with a 30-minute response time Ratio is 1:1 during intraprocedural cases and up to 1:4 in phase 2 recovery Uses EPIC for charting and Phillips monitors for monitoring No floating required Surgical scrubs are provided by the facility Responsibilities include managing intraprocedural and recovery care for a range of interventional radiology procedures Team includes a charge RN present from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM and a PCT Department is closed on holidays, but call coverage may still be required Orientation consists of 5 unit-specific hours, plus non-billable general orientation Local candidates within 50 miles are eligible for local rates COVID vaccination is not required for this position Candidates must be able to successfully pass a drug screen in compliance with the facility’s requirements Requirements Active IL RN license required at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of RN experience in an acute care or procedural setting Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be active at the time of consideration Experience with EKG interpretation and drip titration required Familiarity with EPIC EMR and Phillips monitoring equipment preferred Must be able to participate in primary and secondary call with a 30-minute response Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-657972.
