Fleet Ballistic Missiles (FBM) is one of Lockheed Martin's outstanding Lines of Businesses that prioritizes partnership, integrity, and reliability. The Life Extension 2 (LE2) team is an organization within the greater FBM program which supports the development of the next generation system by developing concepts, researching, and maturing technologies to support the development of the next FBM Missile System. As a Mechanical and Propulsion Engineering Asc. Manager you will lead a team of engineers to support the design and development of a solid propellant Gas Generator. You will be responsible for driving integration with other Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and ensuring close collaboration to ensure a sound technical solution. You will be responsible for the teams; execution, schedule, budget, subcontracts, and personnel. Desired skills: - Missile and/or aerospace related education or experience - Experience with engineering principles of solid propellant rocket motors or generators - Highly effective communication skills, including ability to explain complex concepts, lead reviews, and negotiate requirements - Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and tackle numerous roles as part of the daily program operations - Willingness to wear multiple hats and do whatever is needed to help your team succeed - Experience working with procurement and outside suppliers Other Important Information: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
