Warehouse Manager 3rd Shift / Night Shift With over 100 years' accumulated experience, ZIEHL-ABEGG is the world leading fan and motor manufacturer. The Warehouse Manager (3rd Shift / Night) is responsible for leading and overseeing all warehouse operations during the night shift to ensure accurate, efficient, and safe receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and finished goods. This role ensures uninterrupted support to production and shipping activities, maintains inventory accuracy, enforces safety and quality standards, and leads night-shift warehouse personnel to meet operational goals while minimizing downtime and errors. Your main responsibilities will be: Operations & Material Flow Oversee all warehouse activities during the night shift, including receiving, put-away, picking, staging, and shipping. Ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and finished goods to support production schedules. Coordinate with production, shipping, and planning teams to address priorities and resolve material issues. Monitor workflow and adjust staffing or priorities to meet operational demands. Inventory Control Maintain accurate inventory records through proper transaction discipline and system usage. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and root causes. Support cycle counts and physical inventories; ensure corrective actions are implemented. Ensure proper storage, labeling, and FIFO practices. Leadership & Supervision Lead, coach, and develop night-shift warehouse employees, including leads and operators. Assign work, set expectations, and hold team members accountable for performance. Conduct shift handovers and communicate issues, risks, and status to day-shift leadership. Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management. Safety, Quality & Compliance Enforce all safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards. Ensure compliance with OSHA, company safety rules, and internal procedures. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Ensure materials are handled, stored, and shipped according to quality requirements. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, accuracy, and space utilization. Support lean initiatives, standard work, and process improvements. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, and labor efficiency. Systems & Reporting Utilize ERP/WMS systems to manage inventory and warehouse transactions. Prepare shift reports covering productivity, issues, safety incidents, and inventory concerns. Escalate operational issues as needed with clear data and recommendations. Job Requirements: Required High school diploma or equivalent. 35 years of warehouse or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment. Prior supervisory or leadership experience. Strong working knowledge of inventory control and warehouse processes. Ability to work 3rd shift / night shift on a consistent basis. Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field. Experience with ERP/WMS systems. Forklift certification. Lean / continuous improvement experience.
