Job Description

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Nights | Level II Trauma | Cardiovascular Program Join a 220+ bed acute care Level II Trauma hospital with the region's only full-service cardiovascular program (open-heart, interventional cardiology, EP, rehab). You'll manage ventilated and non-invasive patients across critical and acute settings and gain targeted Vascular Access upskilling in a high-acuity environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments (breath sounds, airway patency, cuff pressure) and document timely, accurate findings. Administer therapies: oxygen delivery, aerosol meds, chest physiotherapy, bronchial hygiene. Initiate/monitor/maintain invasive & noninvasive mechanical ventilation; adjust settings per protocols/provider orders. Assist with artificial airway placement; ensure airway integrity during transports and emergent events. Execute diagnostic testing as indicated; monitor therapeutic response and escalate promptly to providers. Respond to codes and emergent situations; support resuscitation and post-event stabilization. Collaborate with nursing, providers, case management, and ancillary teams to optimize outcomes and throughput. Qualifications Required RRT credential: NBRC and Florida state licensure (or eligibility). Completion of an AMA-approved two-year respiratory care program (Associate or equivalent). BLS within 30 days of start; ACLS, PALS, NRP within 6 months of start. Experience Flexible on experience New grads considered only if they've just passed boards or are awaiting license and have no prior RT employment. Prior acute/critical care and ventilator management experience is a plus.
