Job Summary: Elbit America is seeking a highly experienced Staff Project Engineer responsible for the Technical Management of the Program along with the oversight of performing requirements analysis and management, technical planning, systems-level design, systems integration, verification and validation, cost and risk management, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems in order to lead and drive excellence across our production operations. The ideal candidate will have experience and expertise leading a cross-functional engineering team to develop and deliver engineering solutions on time and on budget. Experience balancing contracted program work and internal R&D investment will be critical for this role. This position plays a major role in executing high-visibility strategic programs within the Integrated Solutions business area, rapidly growing a team, and delivering cutting-edge technology to the US Department of Defense. This position will be based in Fort Worth, TX, with occasional travel to customer sites in Detroit, MI, and affiliate locations in Israel. Responsibilities and Tasks: Lead the execution of engineering scope across multiple strategic programs Provide day-to-day leadership and tasking to a cross-functional engineering team Support leadership in developing a product area strategy and associated execution plans Work directly with program management to provide status on contract work, working to resolve issues and mitigate program risks Carefully manage cost and schedule to drive efficient execution of program scope Develop relationships with key program customers and stakeholders Ensure that the engineering team understands all relevant security restrictions and develops the processes and training to support compliance Support overall systems engineering activities, developing a broad technical knowledge of our products and their design Support proposal development within the business area Skills and Abilities: Must have demonstrated ability to build relationships and trust, both with internal and external stakeholders Must be a strong communicator, both verbally and in writing Must have demonstrated ability to effectively develop and communicate strategy to senior leadership Need to be skilled to motivate and facilitate individuals and teams Need to be a strong problem solver, able to identify the correct urgency and priority of various activities Education, Experience/Knowledge & License/Certification: BASIC REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline with a minimum of 5 years of related Project Engineering Management and Systems Engineering experience to be proficient in the above areas, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires a working knowledge of engineering processes related to Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, and Cybersecurity Proficiency with MS Office, including Microsoft Project and associated applications, is needed. Systems-level block diagram capture tools such as Visio. Other related systems engineering tools.
