Job Summary The Cloud/DevOps Engineer III will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting cloud-based, hybrid cloud, and containerized solutions. This role requires strong experience with cloud architecture, DevOps practices, containerization, automation, and modern engineering frameworks. The engineer will work closely with architects, developers, and technical teams to support cloud strategy execution, solution integration, and development of scalable and resilient environments. The position involves contributing to cloud strategy, participating in proof-of-concept initiatives, enabling integration patterns, and supporting system planning, documentation, and deployment efforts. This role also includes contributing to engineering standards, improving processes, and providing technical leadership in an agile environment. Key Responsibilities Engage with architects, developers, and support teams to deploy cloud application services in managed environments. Collaborate with business and technology partners to identify system needs and prioritize requirements. Work with teams to deliver new capabilities and address issues within business applications. Analyze and document requirements related to data, workflow, and system logic. Translate business, technical, and information requirements into integration patterns and solution designs. Assess cloud foundational services, integration services, and cloud operations capabilities. Support the development of proof-of-concept and proof-of-fit efforts. Establish direction for development approaches, tools, processes, and frameworks. Prepare technical documentation, including application designs, assessments, security management, and implementation plans. Lead by example through collaboration, reliability, and customer-focused performance. Participate in developing standards and practices for cloud integration. Contribute to innovation efforts and evaluate emerging technologies. Support IT strategy activities, including environmental analysis, opportunity identification, and portfolio development. Participate in planning and engineering of systems infrastructure, including hardware and software implementation. Monitor system performance and contribute to infrastructure optimization. Work under general supervision, contributing expertise to complex tasks and initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field. Minimum eight years of technical experience across information technology and management information systems. Experience managing complex IT efforts or operations. Eight or more years of experience in software design and development, including at least two years focused on cloud architecture, design, and implementation. Six or more years of software development experience. Two or more years of experience with Agile methodologies. Two or more years of experience deploying Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform solutions. Two or more years of experience deploying cloud and hybrid cloud solutions. Strong communication, presentation, leadership, organizational, and analytical skills. Demonstrated experience working on high-velocity DevOps teams. Experience with infrastructure as code and container management using OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker. Strong knowledge of cloud-native architecture, microservices, serverless approaches, and modern web application frameworks. Experience with cloud-native security models, IAM, application vulnerabilities, and compensating controls. Experience integrating applications using APIs, REST, and API gateways. Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools, automated testing, code scanning, and automated deployments. Experience mentoring team members and serving as a technical subject matter expert. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in an Information Technology field or equivalent combination of education and experience. AWS certification such as Certified Developer or Solutions Architect. Experience with cloud strategy development, application assessments, migration planning, and cloud operating model design. Experience with cloud-native monitoring and logging tools such as ELK, Splunk, and CloudWatch. Experience with Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, refinement, review, and retrospectives. Experience with deployment and development tools such as Jenkins, Jira, and Remedy. Experience in the finance industry or in developing solutions involving financial products.
