Commercial Preconstruction Estimator Looking for someone with both preconstruction and field experience. Join a stable and growing business in the construction industry. Job Description Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects in the industrial and manufacturing sector. Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to gather and analyze project requirements. Develop and manage preconstruction schedules and budgets. Conduct value engineering assessments to optimize project costs and efficiency. Review and interpret construction documents, plans, and specifications. Provide support during the bidding process, including bid analysis and negotiation. Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and vendors. Ensure all preconstruction activities align with company standards and client expectations. The Successful Applicant A successful Preconstruction/Estimator should have: Proven experience in preconstruction or estimating within the engineering and construction industry. Design build project experience. Prior career experience is a Superintendent or Project Management role is preferred as it gives someone a better understanding of the whole project scope. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and costs. Proficiency in relevant software tools and systems for cost estimation and project management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders.
