Position Description: The Solutions Architect is responsible for defining the technical architecture and roadmap for designated applications. This position creates scalable, maintainable, and well-documented solutions. The role actively contributes to creating complex site architectures, oversees design implementation, estimates new projects, resolves technical issues, and influences technical direction in enterprise architecture meetings. Key Responsibilities Adopts standard blueprints, standards, and frameworks with major impact to integrity, security, and reusability for use in design, development and engineering . Applies best practices, tools, and reusable code to increase the efficiency and productivity of development, engineering and product teams (i.e. data modeling standards, microservice design patters, cloud native blueprints). Champions reusability, scalability and cloud native patterns in solution design. Collaborate with IT peers to promote the latest architecture principles, standards, methods, and strategic direction for the enterprise. Collaborate with other technology architects to architect and implement microservices (MSA), service-oriented architecture (SOA), and API integrations with backend systems/technology. Define the technical architecture, platform, and roadmap for all B2B and B2C web and mobile applications. Drive Engineering Excellence across the digital development team by optimizing design/code maintainability and improving productivity. Establish specific digital architecture strategies to meet business requirements for the digital commerce platform. Lead efforts to optimize current platforms (e.g., SAP Commerce Cloud, Java/Spring/SQL) to enhance customer acquisition and testing capabilities. Leverages new technology paradigms (e.g., serverless, containers, microservices, AI, Blockchain, Machine Learning). Partner with key stakeholders to develop architectural approaches collaboratively, leading solutioning with an Agile, hands-on engineering mindset. Understands business requirements so that solution options that are recommended provide the best fit against requirements. Data Collection and Analysis - The ability and skill to determine and analyze trends from data that is collected to assist in compiling reports that will help in decision-making including proficient use of aligned software (e.g., Tableau, etc) Decision Quality - Making good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.
