We are seeking a Speech Therapist (PT) Job Types: Permanent Place: Skilled Nursing Facility Pay:$$28.50-$30.75 Shift: 8:00AM-4:30 PM Hours: 40 Days: Tuesday - Saturday No weekend rotation Possible float to neighboring sites if needed JOB TITLE: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in school settings and a strong background in pediatrics. This role involves assessing and treating speech and language disorders in children, providing early intervention services, and collaborating with educators and families to support each child's communication needs. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, and communication abilities in children. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessment results. Implement evidence-based speech therapy techniques to improve communication skills. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to create a supportive environment for students. Monitor and document progress of patients, adjusting treatment plans as necessary. Provide education and resources to families regarding speech development and therapy strategies. Stay current with advancements in speech therapy practices, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology relevant to pediatric care. Skills Proven experience in a school environment is highly desirable. Strong understanding of pediatric speech therapy practices. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to build rapport with children and their families. Knowledge of physiology and anatomy as it pertains to speech and language development.
