ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains a professionally operating retail pharmacy and conducts self as a role model, serving as a resource for the other retail pharmacy partners. Staff primarily as a retail pharmacist but may be required to work in other functions of the retail pharmacy operations in support of the department. Is an expert retail pharmacist who relies on skills of comprehensive knowledge and experience. Provides staff development and education in area of retail pharmacy. Takes ownership of one long-term retail pharmacy project assuring that the information, data is carried through to all the retail pharmacies. Participates in formulating retail pharmacy policies and procedures in the provision of pharmaceutical care. Maintains practice by ongoing professional literature review, continuing education and self-evaluation. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy program CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE Wisconsin Illinois Pharmacist license, depending on location SKILLS AND ABILITIES Computer experience Strong accuracy skills Excellent interpretive analytical skills for pharmaceutical calculations for drug dosage, IV rates, etc. SPECIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS The Special Physical Demands are considered Essential Job Functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
