Surgical Technician | Temporary Position

Surgical Technologist Use your talents by being our surgeons' extra hands as a surgical technologist. Join our Monticello Surgical Services Team! Surgical Technologists at CentraCare are critical to successful surgeries! Your hands are often closer to the surgeon's than anyone else's. Our Surg Techs are there to prepare for a patient's arrival and stay in the operating room to ensure their best possible outcome. You'll prepare operating rooms for a wide range of surgeries and procedures, inventory surgical materials and tools to assure patient safety, and suit up with surgeons to help them save and improve patients' lives. This temporary role requires incredible attention to detail, a deep desire to improve lives, collaborative mindset, and the utmost respect for patient dignity. Schedule: TEMPORARY Full-Time position - 80 hours every two weeks from March 1st through August 31, 2026. Variable 8-hour shifts from 7am-4pm Monday through Friday Flexed start and end times dependent on case load; weeknight, weekend, and holiday and call in rotation. Pay: Starting pay begins at $29.34 per hour and increases with experience. Pay Range: $29.34 - $44.31 per hour Education: Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program. Associate Degree from a surgical first assistant program. Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification as a Surgical Technologist required. Basic Life Support (BLS) Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association. Previous Surgical technician experience preferred. Must possess demonstrated communication skills, be team minded, able to read and communicate effectively in English, strong written and verbal skills and possess strong interpersonal human relations skills. Ability to read and communicate effectively. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work in a team environment and/or work independently as needed. Respond onsite within 30 minutes when "on call". Basic computer knowledge required.
