Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Machinist to support our automation and custom-equipment manufacturing team. This position involves approximately 5% manual machining and 95% CNC machining, with a strong focus on accuracy, craftsmanship, and collaboration. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proficient with precision measurement tools, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment. How You'll Make an Impact: Perform manual machining operations with a high level of precision and consistency Complete conversational programming on CNC equipment Interpret and manipulate 2D CAD files, including importing DXF files for machining Collaborate with engineering and internal teams to confirm fixture setups, orientations, and critical dimensions Inspect and verify critical dimensions using precision measurement tools Communicate potential quality concerns clearly and promptly to management Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all safety procedures Support machining activities as needed to meet production and project deadlines Note: This list of responsibilities is inclusive; however, it is intended to be a guideline for activities. What You'll Bring: Experience working in automation and/or prior experience with JR Automation is preferred Proven experience as a Manual Machinist, with exposure to CNC machining Strong understanding of machining principles, manual machine operation, and precision measuring tools Experience with conversational CNC programming preferred Experience with SolidWorks highly preferred Ability to interpret 2D CAD drawings, manipulate files, and import DXFs Knowledge of CMM techniques and GD&T principles (preferred) Ability to inspect and confirm critical dimensions independently Strong communication and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Disclaimer: JR Automation requires candidates to successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check.
