Project Director Intermoor, Acteon's Moorings and Anchors business line, provides project and operational management expertise to customers across the mooring lifecycle. By combining operational knowledge of mooring equipment, anchor handling and industry failure modes with subsea engineering expertise, we create a company unmatched within the mooring niche. This approach mitigates risks in delivery, installation and operations across the lifecycle, reducing mooring lifecycle costs and safeguarding major operations that protect start-up schedules when mooring and mooring intervention are on the project or production critical path. Intermoor is looking to add an experienced Project Director to the team. The Project Director is responsible for executing major projects and/or a portfolio of projects in accordance with objectives set out by the management team. The Project Director will be accountable for ensuring quality in line with stated objectives and the health, safety and security of all personnel and equipment associated with the project. Duties: Manage and execute complete lifecycle of projects from award and handover phase, development and planning, execution and monitoring of design, engineering, installation, and testing, to completion and closeout Responsible for delivering stated project financial results as well as all QHSES objectives Provide oversight and leadership to project managers, engineers, operations personnel and project support personnel as required Identify project requirements, analyze critical paths and constraints, and develop detailed project scope, budget, schedule, completion evaluation, and lesson-learned review Develop and maintain client relationships and work towards a positive Intermoor/client experience through project execution and other client engagements Identify and mitigate potential technical, commercial, and QHSE risks for assigned projects Identify, document, and action commercial and/or contractual issues through variation orders or other mechanisms as appropriate. This may include changes to scope of work, deviation from specification or other contractual mechanisms, schedule changes, breach of contract, etc Manage subcontractors, vendors, contractors or other stakeholders in line with applicable requirements Lead and/or support business development and proposals efforts assigned. This may include attending client meetings with Business Development Managers, acting as Proposal Manager for bids, attending peer review meetings, etc Provide regular project or other reporting as needed Business travel as required to support projects Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (Ocean engineering, Naval Architecture or closely related field of engineering is preferred) or project management Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration is a plus 5 years of project experience as a project manager, construction manager or project engineering manager 10 years of relevant engineering, construction or operation experience Experience running multi-national, cross business unit lump sum, turnkey EPCI project or portfolio of projects Experience with mooring system design and installation Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred Should be able to travel domestically and internationally Possess sound judgment; highly developed management, organization, interpersonal, presentation/training, oral and written communication skills; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Project experience should include complete profit and loss accountability on multiple domestic and global projects Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with strong attention to detail Demonstrated ability to manage and work with multidisciplinary teams, deal with complex issues and maintain effective working relationships Ability to prepare and interpret complex reports, recognize problems and define and evaluate solutions Experience with client interaction and ability to excel in a client-facing role Ability to travel, as per client requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Office Novice user of MS Project or Primavera preferred, but not required Knowledge of permanent and temporary mooring system design and installation methods including various installation vessels and anchor handling vessels and their equipment Good knowledge of major class rules (ABS, DnV, etc.) and industry codes and standards related to mooring system design and installation such as API, OCIMF, etc. and manufacturer's standards for major mooring equipment
