Job OverviewThe Import Operations Specialist is responsible for managing day to day operations, communications, and processes related to air and ocean import shipments, customs brokerage, and domestic cargo.About UsPhoenix International is a privately-owned global logistics company with U.S. locations in the greater Chicago and Los Angeles areas. Excellent opportunities for career growthIndustry competitive salary commensurate with experienceBenefits (Health, Vision, Dental, EAP, Disability, Life)401k available after 90 days with 6% matchPositive support-focused culture, collaborative work environment, strong core values that guide the company's missionDirect access to leadershipA strong company culture that embraces work/life balance Responsibilities and Duties Open operation files for import shipmentsMonitor and manage all assigned shipments until completionDaily communications with customers, overseas offices/agents, local partners, and service providersEnsure accurate customer billing and agent invoicingHandle quotation requests from operational partners and agents and respond within a timely manner and depending on regional responsibilityWork with our overseas offices/agents to resolve any issuesReview standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with government regulationsEnsures that highest level of data quality and integrity by processing shipment accuratelyReport anomalies in operations and new customer requirements to management for decisions on additional service requirementsOther duties as assigned by management Qualifications A minimum of 3 years of processing both air and ocean import shipmentsBachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and work experienceOrganized and detail orientedExcellent communication skillsExperience with CargoWise system software Preferred Qualifications Experience with Microsoft Office 365 tools What Makes Us Different?
