Material Handler III (Stand Up Lift Driver)

Material Handler The Material Handler duties include, but are not limited to, loading, unloading and moving material in the climate-controlled warehouse. Seeking 1st and 2nd shift drivers. Responsibilities: Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves Conveys materials to designated storage areas Effectively communicating with Table leads to facilitate efficient Material flow Proactively identify damaged parts and call immediate attention to it Follow all safety procedures including proper usage of safety equipment and tools Must demonstrate commitment, dependability, punctuality, and adherence to an agreed-upon schedule as determined by Manager Adhere to all safety, OSHA guidelines, work rules and policies and focuses daily on housekeeping inside and outside of the facility Exhibits and adheres to the established VCC Core Values Performs other duties as assigned Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent A minimum of 1 to 3 years of full-time industry experience in a warehouse, distribution center, order fulfillment center, logistics, supply chain operations or manufacturing environment. Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be accepted. Ability to exhibit experience with a stand-up high lift deep reach forklift equipment, pallet riders and/or stock pickers. Current Forklift license and certification Strong knowledge of distribution center compliance and procedures and the objectives of handling material within a warehouse Experience and the ability to utilize a RF scanner Experience with a forklift truck and/or a tugger Ability to work in a team atmosphere, promoting positive work relationships with other Team Members, as well as internal and external customers Capacity to utilize effective time management skills and be able to work under the stress of multiple deadlines, requests from other departments and interruptions with accuracy Ability to follow directions and communicate in English verbally and in writing and to read and understand materials printed in English Capacity to be self-motivated and achieve goals with minimal supervision or direction Experience with picking parts or components from work instructions Must exhibit the ability to read, write, understand, and speak English Hours: 4:30 pm to 1:00 am 2nd shift 8:00 am to 4:30 pm 1st shift Availability before or after designated work hours and/or weekends may be required Location: 170 Smith Farms Pkwy, Greer, SC 29651 We Provide: Competitive compensation plans Company provided Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability 401(k) Employer Match Paid Time Off Programs Comprehensive Benefits Package Compensation: $19.00/hour with $1.00/hour shift differential Qualified applicants are considered for employment, and employees are treated during employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, gender identity, or expression, genetic information, or any other legally protected status.
