Primarily field-based role with travel to various job sites.Job SummaryWinchester Mechanical is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Journeyman to support and lead field installation teams on commercial and industrial HVAC projects across Nashua. This hands-on team member will ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality sheet metal work while coordinating crews, materials, and schedules in partnership with project management and general contractors.ResponsibilitiesMentor junior sheet metal field crewsSupport the planning of daily work sequences and crew assignmentsRead and interpret mechanical drawings and specsSupport material deliveries and fabrication needsSupport layout, fitting, and duct installation workConduct safety talks and enforce site safety protocols when foreman is occupiedPerform quality inspections and ensure compliance with foremanMaintain daily logs, timesheets, and field reports with foremanCollaborate with PMs, GCs, and other trades to solve issues with foremanQualifications2+ years of commercial sheet metal experienceJourneyman-level sheet metal certification requiredStrong blueprint and plan reading abilityProven field leadership and crew management experienceOSHA safety knowledge and enforcement mindsetValid driver’s license with clean recordAbility to lift 50+ lbs and work at heightsPreferred: Master Sheet Metal License or BIM/CAD familiarity
