In this role, you will service, troubleshoot, repair, and improve residential and commercial sprinkler systems across Mid and Southeast Michigan. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, customer interaction, and working outdoors while taking pride in quality workmanship and water stewardship. Who We Are Established in 1986, Jetstream Irrigation is a trusted outdoor contractor specializing in sprinkler, lighting, and drainage systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. With over 2,000 established sprinkler customers, our primary focus is servicing and improving existing systems using responsible water management practices we call water stewardship.. Learn more at Key Responsibilities Work independently or alongside other technicians to complete service work orders efficiently and with high-quality results Perform spring start-ups, winterizations, and mid-season inspections per customer contracts Diagnose, repair, and improve all makes and models of sprinkler systems Troubleshoot and repair timers, valves, pumps, wiring, fixtures, and fittings Utilize wire trackers and other diagnostic tools Communicate with customers, explain system issues, and recommend system upgrades or improvements Upsell services and improvements when appropriate Collect customer payments and document completed work Use tablets or smartphones to operate irrigation service software Report jobsite issues or concerns to the Irrigation Manager Maintain company vehicles, tools, equipment, and materials responsibly Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in sprinkler installation and/or irrigation service High School Diploma or GED required Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Comfortable working outdoors in physically demanding conditions Ability to lift 60 lbs unassisted Valid Michigan driver's license with chauffeur's endorsement Positive attitude, steady work pace, good common sense, and willingness to learn Comfortable interacting with customers and working independently Ability to use mobile devices and service software Compensation & Bonuses $24-$34 per hour, based on experience Weekly pay cycle Overtime paid at 1.5x for all hours over 40 Performance bonuses Year-end bonus opportunities Reliability Bonus for perfect attendance Loyalty Bonus paid each spring to returning employees Benefits & Perks Company vehicle for qualified service technicians (tenure & attendance-based) Paid Time Off (holidays, vacation, sick time - attendance-based) Retirement savings program with company contribution and match Perfect Attendance Bonus Paid training and certifications Apprenticeship and mentorship opportunities Performance Pay program Tenure awards at 5, 10, 15, and 20 years Work Schedule Full-Time, Monday-Friday Typically 45-50 hours per week Overtime available and encouraged Optional Saturday work No Sunday work Seasonal schedule due to Michigan winters (March-Thanksgiving) Work Location Field-based role covering Mid and Southeast Michigan Daily travel to residential and commercial job sites Remote start with company vehicle provided (eligibility based on tenure and attendance) Equal Employment Opportunity We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
