Press Operator

Duties: The individual who functions in this position must carry out all of the functions associated with being a Machine Operator in our Fabrication / Plate Department. To qualify as a Machine Operator, an individual must be able to perform all of the following: Maintain each Press according to maintenance procedures and diagnose and perform routine preventive maintenance. Possess the ability to set up and operate the CNC Press Brake, Mechanical Press Brake and the Whitney Plasma Punch Produce product as described in the shop order, set proper die clearance, proper punch grade and apply proper lubrication. Read shop product as described on the shop order. Detect when a tool needs to be serviced, set up a tool accordingly and determine and set slide and stripper settings. Requires ability to multitask efficiently as required and perform other duties as assigned. Education: High School graduate or GED Experience Trade/vocation certification preferred. 1 - 3 years' experience operating CNC equipment in a manufacturing / industrial environment Ability to read a ruler, tape measure, drawings, micrometer and set calipers.
