DQR Inspector - AerospaceDirect Hire | 1st ShiftOverview We are supporting a new aerospace customer that requires an experienced Designated Quality Representative (DQR) to be on site. This role is responsible for source, in-process, and final inspections of aerospace components, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. This is a direct hire opportunity (20%) on 1st shift, 7:00am-3:30pm, offering competitive pay up to $37/hour, depending on experience. Key Responsibilities Perform source, in-process, and final inspections on aerospace components and assemblies Act as DQR for GE Aviation and Collins Aerospace parts (Pratt & Whitney DQR also considered) Review drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to ensure compliance Perform dimensional, visual, and functional inspections using precision measuring equipment Complete inspection documentation, certifications, and quality records accurately Conduct first piece inspections and review process certifications Identify nonconformances and support root cause and corrective action activities Interface with customers, suppliers, and internal teams on quality matters Ensure compliance with AS9100, FAA, and customer-specific quality requirements Major Areas of Responsibility Full inspection of aerospace parts and assemblies Dimensional inspection and documentation per blueprints and inspection reports Visual inspection of critical components Use of micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection equipment Resolution of customer quality issues Independent work as well as collaboration with engineering, quality, and production teams Requirements Active DQR certification for GE or Collins Aerospace (Pratt & Whitney DQR acceptable) Minimum 2 months active DQR experience Associate's degree in engineering, quality, or technical discipline or equivalent experienceMinimum 5 years of aerospace inspection/quality experienceExperience working with GE Aviation, Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, or other aerospace OEMs Strong understanding of FAI, PPAP, ECAV, and related submissions Familiarity with customer supplier portals (GE Aviation, Raytheon Technologies) Knowledge of Flight Safety and critical component processes (ESA, VSE, SPS) Proficient with digital gauging, inspection systems, and quality software Familiar with ITAR and DFARS requirements Interview Process On-site interview with HR and Quality ManagerHands-on inspection exercise: candidate will be given a part to inspect Screening Questions (Required) Do you currently hold an active DQR certification? If so, for which customer(s)? What size and type of aerospace parts do you typically inspect?
