San Antonio College (Mt. SAC) Career Center seeks a dynamic and results-oriented Project Expert V to assist with employer relations initiatives specifically for Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. This part-time role builds and nurtures relationships with local employers to create a robust pipeline of work-based learning and employment opportunities for our CTE students. The ideal candidate will be a proactive connector, comfortable engaging with industry leaders to bridge the gap between education and the workforce. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, communications, human resources, marketing, or a related field. Three (3) years of direct experience in employer relations, corporate recruiting, talent acquisition, business development, or a related role. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with business and industry partners, college managers, and college staff. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to diverse audiences. Strong organizational and project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and events simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM platforms or recruiting software (e.g., Handshake). Confidential letters of recommendation are not allowed for this position. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesEmployer Engagement & Outreach Proactively promote Mt. SAC Career Center services and the talent of CTE students to local employers, industry associations, and business communities. Actively recruit new employers to participate in the college's recruiting platform, Handshake. Conduct targeted outreach to identify and secure entry-level employment opportunities aligned with CTE pathways. Encourage and coordinate employer participation in on-campus Career Fairs and specialized recruiting events. Collaborate with Instructional Career Specialists to understand program curriculum and ensure there is no overlap in outreach efforts. Event Creation & Management In collaboration with the Instructional Career Specialists, develop, plan, and execute events that facilitate direct engagement between CTE students and employers, including: Industry-specific panels and guest speaker series. "Meet the Employer" networking sessions on campus. On-site employer visits and facility tours. Job shadowing programs. In collaboration with the Instructional Career Specialists, co-manage all logistical aspects of events, including employer recruitment, scheduling, promotion, and student registration. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a community college or higher education environment, particularly with CTE programs. Existing network of employer contacts within the Mt. SAC service area. Knowledge of current trends in workforce development. Understanding of the needs and objectives of both employers and students in a technical or career-oriented educational setting. License(s) & Other RequirementsWorking Environment: ? This is a part?time, on?campus position requiring work during standard business hours, with occasional flexibility for early morning or evening events. ? Must be able to travel locally to attend meetings with employers and visit worksites (mileage reimbursed per college policy).
