Job Summary Primary Transportation Services Inc is seeking an experienced Over-the-Road (OTR) Regional Truck Driver to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner. This position plays a vital role in transporting finished goods and raw materials across regional routes, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with transportation regulations. Key Responsibilities Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants, retail locations, and distribution centers Safely operate and maintain a Class A commercial vehicle, adhering to DOT regulations Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules and optimize efficiency Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues, performing routine preventative maintenance Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions, ensuring proper freight handling Collect and verify delivery instructions to ensure accurate shipments Document and log work/rest periods, mileage, and fuel/toll receipts Input data into automated systems, including macros for loading/unloading stages Comply with truck driving rules and company policies, including regulations on size, weight, parking, and break periods Report defects, accidents, or violations in a timely manner Qualifications Proven work experience as a truck driver, preferably in OTR/regional trucking Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB radio, etc.) Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly across regional routes Extensive knowledge of truck driving rules, regulations, and DOT compliance Strong adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, delays) Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and DOT medical certification Commitment to safety, professionalism, and teamwork Benefits Competitive pay structure, including mileage, delivery pay, and retention pay Dedicated regional routes - regular home time Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay Company-provided equipment 401(k) retirement plan with company match Join our team and drive your career forward with Primary Transportation Services Inc!
