Lifeguard/Swim InstructorDistrict Swimming PoolDescription: Responsible for teaching swim lessons, lifeguarding during lessons and recreational swim times, and helping to maintain the cleanliness of the pool deck. Qualifications: Applicants must be 16 years of age or older (15 1/2 year olds accepted with workers permit) Requires certification in lifeguarding/first aid, CPR/AED for lifeguards and Bloodborne Pathogens Requires 0 to 2 years of job-related prior experience Essential Job Functions include the following: Instructs students age 3 and up to swim Tests students and places them in the correct class Keeps parents informed of the student's progress Guards the pool during recreational swim times Helps with general maintenance Initiates emergency procedures Other job duties may be assigned
