RN Emergency Services Manager - Austin, TX Shifts: 7P-7A on Thursdays there's an ED leadership lunch for updates & works evening that day. Responsibilities: • You will integrate department services with the hospital's primary functions. • You will maintain appropriate quality control programs. • You will provide for orientation, in-service training, and continuing education of all persons in the department. • You will oversee and review the development of monthly schedules. • You will, while working with the Department Director or Charge Nurse, help to resolve concerns of staff, ancillary departments, patients, physicians and families. • You will collaborate with Directors, Managers and staff of other nursing units and ancillary departments to ensure continuity of patient care and to prevent or resolve problems. • You will, in conjunction with the House Supervisor, Department Director or Charge Nurse assure that patient care assignments are made according to the nurse's skill, acuity and staffing availability and based on the State licensing law and Hospital policy. Qualifications: • Registered Nurse License in the state of Texas or hold a Compact states license. • BSN required • BLS, ACLS, PALS Required. • 5+ years of nursing experience • 2+ years of leadership experience Benefits: • All Standard benefits are available.
