Job Description

NAM MCU Scheduler The NAM MCU Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the schedule for NAM MCU projects across the NAM Wind Services Organization. This role ensures that all projects start dates, cranes, labor, tooling, and logistics are effectively coordinated to achieve safe, on-time, and cost-efficient execution. The Scheduler acts as the central hub connecting Cranes, Field Teams, Resource Management, and Supply Chain to maintain real-time visibility and control over project schedules. Key Responsibilities Scheduling & Planning Develop and maintain the master MCU schedule for all ongoing and upcoming projects across the region. Coordinate with Resource Managers, Parts, Logistics, and Project Managers to confirm crew assignments, crane availability, tooling readiness, and component delivery. Monitor project milestones and critical path activities to ensure schedule adherence. Adjust schedules proactively in response to weather delays, equipment issues, or changing priorities. Support the creation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly execution forecasts. Communication & Coordination Serve as the primary point of contact for all MCU scheduling updates and changes. Facilitate weekly coordination meetings with Resource, Parts, Logistics, finance, and Operations teams to review upcoming work. Communicate schedule changes clearly to all stakeholders, including field leadership and customers when required. Collaborate with supply chain teams to track component and tooling movements to align with schedule needs. Data Management & Reporting Maintain accurate scheduling data in Salesforce. Track schedule performance metrics such as crew utilization, downtime, cost per job, and schedule adherence. Generate reports for Operations Leadership summarizing weekly progress, upcoming workload, and risks to schedule. Support continuous improvement by identifying scheduling trends, bottlenecks, and optimization opportunities. Operational Readiness Verify all prerequisites (permits, site readiness, component deliveries, tooling inspections, etc.) are complete prior to mobilization. Ensure scheduling reflects resource qualifications, training, and regional coverage. Support pre-job reviews and project kickoff meetings to align scope, timing, and readiness. Qualifications Education: Minimum: High School diploma or GED Preferred: Associate's or bachelor's degree in operations, Project Management, or Engineering Experience: 35+ years of experience in field execution, project scheduling, workforce planning, or operations coordination. Prior experience in the wind energy, power generation, or industrial maintenance industries preferred. Familiarity with MCU scopes such as gearbox, main shaft main bearing, generator, or blade replacements is a strong plus. Skills & Competencies: Strong proficiency with scheduling and planning software. Proficiency with data and reporting tools (Excel, Smartsheet, etc.). Excellent communication and coordination skills across multiple departments. Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously under tight timelines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Team-oriented mindset and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
