Hospital & Medical Center are searching for BC/BE Anesthesiologists to join a hospital based practice The Hospital is comprised of a combination of FT and PT Anesthesiologists for a total of 9.7 FTE?s, there are also 2 CRNAs on staff and gaps are filled with per diem Anesthesiologists or CRNAs --Cases include general surgery, orthopedics, urology, thoracic, vascular, plastic surgery, neurosurgery, ENT, dental, ophthalmology and obstetrics/gynecology --Care is provided in 9 main operating rooms, an out patient surgical center, and eye care center, labor and delivery and limited out of operating room sites. --Call is from home with a response time of 15 minutes --1st and 2nd calls are overnight equitably distributed among the nine full-time general anesthesiologists --2nd call is very light and only backs up 1st call for emergencies that cannot wait or labor analgesia that is expected to be delayed if 1st call is occupied --Late shifts are also equitably shared as well as holiday coverage --Late shifts include 3rd call not held past 7pm - 4th and 5th call not held past 5:30pm and 6th call not held past 4:30pm --All pre and post 1st or 2nd call are released by 3:30pm --Late shifts are shortened when clinical work does not support their need The hospital delivers 800-900 babies per year with a c-section rate around 33% with half being scheduled. Labor epidural rate for vaginal deliveries is approximately 65-70%. Labor & Delivery nurses monitor labor epidural patients in accordance with a detailed protocol The Medical Center (2nd location) covers up to 4 operating rooms, a GI endoscopy suite and L&D --Anesthesia services provided for surgery includes GI endoscopies, general surgery, gynecology, podiatry and orthopedics --The obstetrical suite performs over 200 deliveries per year --Current staffing is with 2 MDs and 3 CRNAs --24/7 coverage is provided with MDs -- Call is light - MDs average 1 in 3 weekends, with reimbursement for additional weekend coverage - Weekdays average 1 in 2 coverage Employed position with a comprehensive benefit package Primary work location is the Hospital
