Quality Control Manager Santa Clara, CA A leading civil construction firm is seeking a driven professional to oversee quality management for a major water infrastructure project in Santa Clara, CA. This is a full-time, four-year contract role with the opportunity to make a significant impact as the decision-maker on all project-related quality matters. You'll be empowered to lead quality control efforts independently from the construction team, shaping project outcomes and upholding rigorous standards. Quality Control Manager Benefits & Compensation Competitive compensation commensurate with experience and contract duration Full-time, onsite role with long-term project stability (4-year contract) Potential for comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage Supportive, safety-focused workplace culture Quality Control Manager Requirements & Qualifications Bachelors degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management with at least 10 years of construction experience on similar projects OR 15 years of relevant construction experience in lieu of a degree 10+ years of experience on heavy civil or water infrastructure projects Demonstrated expertise in project-wide quality control program management Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification or equivalent (Army Corp of Engineers/Naval Facilities Engineering Command) Ability to meet physical demands typical of field construction work, including periods of standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a range of environmental conditions Quality Control Manager Preferred Background & Skills Experience coordinating with independent testing laboratories and subcontractors Strong documentation, reporting, and written communication abilities Proficiency with quality tracking systems and inspection records Quality Control Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and implement a project-specific Quality Control Plan consistent with contract requirements Oversee all quality matters independently from the construction production team, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards Conduct ongoing site inspections, verify workmanship, and ensure proper documentation of testing and materials Issue and track non-compliance notices, and coordinate corrective actions to resolution Maintain comprehensive quality recordsincluding daily inspection reports, checklists, and compliance documentation Serve as the primary liaison for quality-related communication between the project team, engineers, contractors, and suppliers If you are a detail-oriented quality leader seeking to drive excellence on a landmark infrastructure project, we welcome your application.
