Works under the general guidance and direction of the Assistant Pool Manager and the Pool Manager. Exercises supervision over all public swimmers in and around pool area. This position requires working odd hours, nights, weekends and holidays (i.e. Fourth of July) as needed. Essential Job FunctionsEnforce all rules and regulations of the pool Assist in communicating official plans, policies and procedures to staff and the general public Complies with the personnel rules and regulations Gives swimming instruction Must clean assigned areas Oversees direction of lifeguards I and II Performs related duties as assigned Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of: common practices as they relate to Lifeguard Training and safe work practices. Ability to perform the following duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and other associates Ability to keep records and prepare reports Ability to use rescue tubes Ability to use spinal board and related equipment Minimum QualificationsMust be certified in First Aid and CPR Professional Rescuer Must possess a current Lifeguard Certificate upon employment Must have a minimum of 2 years previous experience in lifeguarding and swimming instruction This position is not eligible for benefits.
