Job Title: Microbiology Lab TechnicianJob DescriptionPerform microbiological and analytical quality testing to ensure products meet quality, microbiological, customer, and regulatory requirements. Work in compliance with food safety standards, FDA GMPs, HACCP, 5S, housekeeping, and U.S. Food Defense regulations.Responsibilities Prepare microbiological media, dilutions, and samples for required testing using aseptic techniques. Collect, organize, label, and test aseptic and non-aseptic samples according to established protocols. Conduct microbiological testing, including pour plates, TAB, TRM, and water coliform analyses; incubate and interpret results. Collect juice, water, and environmental swab samples from designated plant locations using proper sanitation and sterilization procedures. Accurately record, analyze, and report test results to the Supervisor of Microbiological and Analytical Services. Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and inventory in accordance with 5S standards. Support port operations with vessel sampling and testing and perform external laboratory cross-checks with customers and internal facilities. Adhere to all food safety, chemical hygiene, and workplace safety policies; serve as rotating pre-shift safety meeting leader. Work alternating Saturdays and provide coverage during team member absences.
