Job Opportunity At Department Of Housing And Urban Development This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Asst Secretary for Housing-Federal Housing Commissioner. The Office of Housing provides vital public services through its nationally administered programs. It oversees the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), the largest mortgage insurer in the world, and regulates important parts of the housing industry. The Office of Housing is committed to building and preserving healthy neighborhoods and communities through homeownership, rental housing and healthcare opportunities. The following are the duties of this position at the GS-13. As a Management Analyst, you will: Analyze and evaluate on a quantitative qualitative basis the effectiveness of line program operations in meeting established goals and objectives. Evaluate and advise on organization structures, methods, and procedures. Analyze management information requirements. Develop, analyze, and evaluate new or modified program management policies, regulations, goals, or objectives. Develop procedures and systems for assessing the effectiveness of programs management processes. Key Requirements: Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National. A probationary or trial period may be required. Continued employment is contingent upon supervisory certification that continued employment will benefit the Federal Service. Must successfully complete a background investigation. Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment. Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer. Qualifications: You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-13, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level that has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as work that involves: Researching policy and program information (qualitative, quantitative and financial) and provide decisions/or recommendations. Communicate effectively in writing to prepare reports or responses to policy or program inquiries. Presenting information, analysis and recommendations verbally to individuals and diverse groups (i.e. leading discussions, responding to questions) and working toward consensus. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13 you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
