JOB TITLE: Concrete Testing Technician REPORTS TO: Laboratory Manager NUMBER OF DIRECT REPORTS: 0 DEPARTMENT: Engineering FUNCTION: Perform tests on concrete and concrete making materials LOCATION: Laboratory DATE OF UPDATE: January 2026 SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced Concrete Laboratory Technician to join our laboratory team. This role is ideal for a field concrete technician looking to transition into a laboratory-based position with regular hours, a controlled work environment, and opportunities for long-term career growth. The successful candidate will perform routine and advanced testing of concrete and aggregates in accordance with ASTM, ACI, and project specifications. KEY RESPONSILIBILTIES: · Perform laboratory testing of fresh and hardened concrete· Prepare, cast, cure, and test concrete specimens· Conduct materials testing per ASTM / ACI standards· Record and report test results accurately· Maintain lab equipment and follow safety and QA/QC procedures REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Experience as a concrete field or lab technicianKnowledge of ASTM and ACI test methodsStrong attention to detail and reliabilityBasic computer skills for data entry and reportingAbility to lift test samples and lab equipment PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS: ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade IACI Strength Testing TechnicianOther relevant ACI, ASTM, or materials testing certifications · Knowledge of ForneyVault ADDITIONAL NOTES: Why This Role Is Different: Primarily indoor laboratory workRegular weekday business hoursClean, organized work environmentApply your field experience without the field scheduleStable position with growth opportunities
