Midland Asphalt Materials Inc. Asphalt Distributor Operator Midland Asphalt Materials Inc., a subsidiary of Barrett Industries Corporation, provides advanced pavement preservation solutions for our customers' needs. We are actively recruiting for Asphalt Distributor Operators for our Pennsylvania operations, out of our Clearfield, PA facility. This is a seasonal, full-time opportunity running primarily from May through September/October, offering 4060 hours per week. Drivers receive additional overtime after 8 hours per day on top of weekly overtime after 40 hours. Although the role is seasonal, your benefits remain active year-round, ensuring continuous coverage even during the off-season. You may also be eligible for unemployment benefits during the winter months, providing additional financial support until the next season begins. This position will start in May 2026. Main Responsibilities Operate an asphalt distributor and apply specialized emulsions to roads Coordinate with Foreman for application rate and special instructions Understand the different emulsions and how to use each one safely and effectively Keep track of time and quantities of each project and communicate that to dispatch office Perform related duties such as shovel work, setting string line, adding or removing extensions, and changing spray nozzles Experience and Qualifications Must have a valid Class B CDL with Airbrakes and Tanker Endorsements and good driving record Class A CDL, Hazmat Endorsement preferred Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Regularly required to climb in and out of vehicles and/or equipment Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Regularly required to stand and walk across uneven terrain Frequent exposure to loud noise Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles; exposure to high temperatures Regularly exposed to fuel, oil, and other chemicals Required to work varying hours, including nights/weekends, and overnight travel with overnight stays Culture at Midland Collaborative, inclusive, and engaged team environment Seek to hire for culture add Work-life balance is supported Colas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
