Admin/Accounting Assistant

Accounting Assistant We are a team of health-minded and health-inspired individuals, with diverse backgrounds and aspirations to change people's lives. We are currently looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our team. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting and supporting Sr. Accountant in reporting financial data to the corporate office for 20 retail locations in the Texas area. This is an excellent opportunity for students with accounting background, or recent graduates that are looking to gain more accounting experience. However we are open to meet with any dynamic and inspiring individuals that might be a good fit for this role. The Responsibilities: Prepares work to be processed by gathering, sorting, and organizing data and documents. Verifies accounts by reconciling transactions; investigating and resolving discrepancies. Completes accounting transactions by verifying and correcting transaction information; scheduling and preparing transactions; posting to ledgers and journals; obtaining authorizations. Maintains historical records by preparing and filing documents. Maintains cash account by receiving, counting, and recording cash. Verifies information by auditing and proofing reports. Other accounting tasks as assigned by Sr. Accountant.
