In this role, you plan new or modified layout, installs, and repairs wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment with minimal waste of materials. Job Responsibilities: Plans new or modified layout, installs, and repairs wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment with minimal waste of materials. Unlicensed position. Plans and works ahead of the task (versus piece-by-piece method). Reads and follows the job board. Move man and materials safely overhead considering weight restrictions. Demonstrate knowledge and usage of all types of fasteners, hangers, boxes, bushings, clamps, couplings, connectors and other hardware of the trade. Set Motor Control Centers. Pull wire and bend pipe. Train and utilize fork and/or aerial boom lift. Demonstrate professional use and care of company tools and equipment. Follow all company/customer safety procedures. Monitor and record time and material used for the job. Performs other related duties and special projects assigned. Perform preventative and predictive electrical maintenance on facility machinery. Install, troubleshoot, and repair facility machinery and update necessary logs. Communicate with operators from other shifts. Maintain a clean work area and ensure work tools are secure. Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use. Other duties which may be assigned as needed. Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities Education & Years of Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred. To thrive in this role, you'll need: Specialized training in OSHA construction safety, CPR/First Responder, and lift operations (fork/boom) is preferred. Familiarity with electrical hardware such as fasteners, hangers, boxes, bushings, clamps, couplings, and connectors. Ability to train and lead less experienced team members. Strong communication skills (oral and written). Proficient with basic computer tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, internet navigation). Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation. Must possess tools as outlined in the company's minimum tool list. Demonstrate proper lifting techniques and use of required PPE. Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, team members may be required to visit alternate locations, and therefore must have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to do so. This position requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The team member is frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
