Overview Role Description The Assistant VDC Manager/Coordination supports the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects using Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) methods and technologies. The role requires collaboration with project managers, engineers, architects, and various stakeholders to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards, while utilizing VDC tools to optimize the design and construction processes. Responsibilities VDC Implementation & SupportAssist in integrating VDC tools to enhance design, planning, and construction workflows. Project CoordinationSupport the management of project timelines, budgets, and resources. Coordinate internal teams and subcontractors to ensure progress aligns with goals. Responsible for project setup and onboarding. Data ManagementMaintain accurate, accessible, and up-to-date digital models and VDC data. DocumentationPrepare and maintain VDC-related reports, meeting minutes, schedules, and change orders. Quality ControlEnsure VDC processes and deliverables meet quality standards and project specifications. Qualifications2-3 years of VDC/BIM Coordination experience leading multi-disciplinary coordination meetings Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field Commercial construction BIM coordination experience is required. Data Center coordination experience strongly preferred Proficiency in VDC Coordination Management and BIM workflows Experience in Electrical, Mechanical/Plumbing, Civil Underground, and Concrete BIM & VDC Experience in using BIM software tools such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD is a plus Previous experience working for a general contractor or subcontractor (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, etc.) Proficiency with Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft/Google Suites Strong project management skills and ability to facilitate coordination meetings Knowledge of advanced modeling techniques and prefabrication strategies Excellent communication and collaboration skills; confident public speaker and leading meetings with 40+ people Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Available for immediate start Work Environment: 100% remote - Living in Texas or on the East Coast is a plus Compensation Range: $90,000 - $110,000 VEC is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
