Thoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA)Location: Rochester, MNDepartment: Surgery - Thoracic SurgeryEmployment Type: Full Time, permanent positionSetting: Inpatient & Outpatient Surgical CarePosition OverviewThis Thoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider role offers the opportunity to work within a highly collaborative surgical team providing comprehensive care for adult patients undergoing complex thoracic procedures. The APP functions with a high level of autonomy while working closely with surgeons, fellows, residents, nursing staff, and allied health professionals across inpatient and outpatient settings.Position Highlights High-acuity thoracic surgery practice Integrated inpatient and outpatient responsibilities Collaborative, team-based surgical environment High level of autonomy in clinical decision-making Opportunity for ongoing learning and professional development Eligible for shift differential Relocation assistance availableClinical Responsibilities Perform independent preoperative assessments Coordinate perioperative patient care Manage postoperative patients in clinic and hospital settings Admit, round on, and discharge hospitalized surgical patients Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic studies Diagnose conditions and develop treatment plans Prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies Provide patient and family education throughout the surgical courseSchedule Weekday coverage Rotating Saturday coverage Inpatient and outpatient responsibilitiesQualificationsNurse Practitioner Master's-prepared graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Current Minnesota RN and APRN license Certification as FNP, ANP, ACNP, or AGACNPPhysician Assistant Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Current NCCPA certification Registration with the Minnesota State Board of Medical PracticeAdditional Requirements BLS certification required DEA registration requiredCompensation & Benefits Base salary range: $117,520.00 - $163,987.20 (based on education and experience) CME allowance of $4,400 annually Up to 7 CME trip days for benefit-eligible employees (50-100% FTE) State license renewal fees DEA license renewal fees Required professional certification and recertification fees Professional membership dues and journal subscriptions Conference and continuing education registration fees Annual mobile device for patient care purposes Relocation assistance available for candidates residing 70+ miles away by Jobble
