Job Title: Locum Orthopedic Surgery Physician Join an esteemed medical facility in Waterloo, Iowa, as an Orthopedic Surgery Physician. You will be a vital part of the MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center, providing top-notch care in a collaborative environment. This role involves inpatient and call coverage with no clinic responsibilities, ensuring focus on patient care at both MercyOne Waterloo and Cedar Falls Medical Centers. Job Responsibilities: Provide inpatient and call coverage for orthopedic surgery at both medical centers. Conduct history and physical exams, diagnose, and treat conditions related to the extremities, spine, and associated structures for patients of all ages. Perform procedures involving trauma, infections, tumors, and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Assess and stabilize patients with emergent conditions in accordance with medical staff policy. No clinic responsibilities, allowing for a focus on surgical and emergency care. Qualifications: Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery - REQUIRED Active Iowa License or Active IMLC - REQUIRED Fellowship trained in Orthopedic Surgery - REQUIRED Significant experience in Orthopedic Surgery - REQUIRED Availability to cover specified shifts - REQUIRED Clean malpractice and background history - REQUIRED (NPDB must be pulled within the last month) License and Certification Requirements: Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery Active Iowa Medical License or IMLC certification Waterloo, Iowa, is a vibrant city that combines urban amenities with a touch of small-town charm.
